Do you want to have my baby?

Image
I’ve often been asked by friends, family and sometimes strangers why I do not have children. Whether or not I want them and what might be the matter with me since I haven’t settled down already. Clearly, there must be something wrong with me because I do not have that house, those 2.1 children, the man and the little white fence. I’ve rarely had an answer to that question. What do you really answer when someone, often someone you barely know asks:” why don’t you have any children?” They phrase it like it is the most normal question in the world, and somehow they all feel entitled to ask me this very question. I’ve often thought of what I should answer. Why don’t I have any children? Because I wasn’t ready, I haven’t found the right guy, I can’t have children, I had different dreams to for fill, I am happy the way I am… The answers are many, sometimes I even want to throw the question back into their faces. Like: Why do you have children? Why did you always dream of settling ...

Big, Vibrant, Pulsating and Crazy Asian Cities... Visit and Love Them

Image
My Top 5 Asian Capitals Below I will take you through 5 of my absolute favorite Asian capitals. Some are very touristy and filled with normal “must see” attractions, some are less frequently visited by tourists and you get more vibe and soul than actual attractions. All have found a special place in my heart. I believe all of them are worth a visit at least once in a lifetime. Some you will fall in love with and probably go back. 5. Hong Kong, China Enjoy big pulsating city-life along with oriental beauty? Hong Kong is worth a visit because of its unique combination of east and west, blending Chinese heritage, British colonial influences, high-tech modernity, and Cantonese gusto. Hong Kong Skyline Best area to stay If it is your first time visiting an Asian metropolis, I would recommend Sheung Wan , which has all a tourist needs in terms of art galleries, restaurants, antique stores and boutique shops, and Shanghai Lane. 3. Diving has always been one of my favorite activities when going traveling. It is fun and beautiful and you get to discover such a different world when you are under the sea. A world of treasures and wonders... and so unlike the one above. Below I've gathered 7 of my favorite diving spots in South East Asia and Australia that I would recommend to everyone.  Enjoy 1. Coral Garden, Langkawi The most famous spot for diving around Langkawi is the Pulau Payar Marine Park. Located around an hour ferry ride south of Langkawi leaving the Kuah Jetty. I did two dives here. The main attraction is the Coral Garden. This dive-site is a shallow site with the coral-reef at around 10 meters depth. But don’t feel cheated. The rocks are covered with beautiful soft corals in clear white, blue and purple colors. You will also encounter plenty of the branching tree corals, anemones hiding schools of clownfish and huge sea fans. There is a great variety of plant and animal wildlife with many of t...

1.        Australia : Spiders aren’t actually that scary! – When I first arrived in Australia I checked everything! I mean everything for spiders. I was sure I would die from spider bites. I read that Australia is home to all the deadliest animals in the world and I was sure those spiders would get me.       After around a month I stopped. I saw a few redbacks in the outback and a funnel web in Byron Bay but no spiders ever attacked me. After around 5 months I was more frightened of Crocodiles. Never saw one. 2.        New Zealand : The Lord of the Rings movie didn’t lie about the scenery! OMG! We spend five weeks in New Zealand and I loved the nature (and the people). Everywhere we went and everywhere we stopped the car was amazing and breathtakingly stunning. I wanted to be Samwise and go on a trip with Frodo across New Zealand and to this day I want to go back and just walk and walk all...
